Should I hire a wedding videographer?
Weddings are one of the most precious moments in life. The day when you want to create a real magic, be on top of happiness and leave this mark forever in your heart.
One of the ways to save your wedding day is to capture it with a video.
A Wedding is a life event with all movements. Every detail will be captured, saved and you can re-watch it a lot of times. It has a very strong effect that you can even cry. A wedding video also has an effect of being there even for those who could not attend the wedding.
Wedding videos allow you to truly relive your day, and see the emotions and hear the voices and sounds from your wedding. So often do couples forget what their partner said during their ceremony vows, or the toasts and speeches given from family and loved ones, I think it’s really nice to be able to go back and fully re-listen to those parts of the day. Photography is beautiful, but in comparison to still images, I find wedding film to be much more immersive and special.
I have seen a lot of discussions when a couple cannot decide should they hire a wedding videographer or just have a wedding photographer only. Some people say you should not hire one and then regret it. Others who got one and thought “I won’t ever watch this” but they watch it all the time and love having it. I do not want people to regret that they did not hire a wedding videographer for their wedding day. As a wedding videographer, I may have an obvious bias opinion, but having a video of the big day can be something to look back on, hearing audio, seeing actual live moments, is pretty priceless for most couples.
There are many reasons I think it is so worth it to hire one! However, the most important thing I think videography captures the movement and voices of loved ones. It captures raw unedited emotions and the sound of laughter; it captures the way a couple moves and shows body language toward one another. It captures the voices and personalities of loved ones even when they are gone! It is such a beautiful thing and memory. If you have the budget for a videographer, go for it! It’s definitely an investment but worth it.
My approach is to document my couple’s wedding without any interruptions. I believe that being discreet on your wedding day is a key to provide more natural results. I am also aware that you want your guests to have a great day too, without being annoyed by having a camera in front of them. There will be no posing, only occasional little guidance if needed. I will be focusing only on important details and filming in natural light.
There are no second takes on your wedding day, so you will need someone you trust to capture all the important moments without fail, a professional wedding videographer whose work you like. I know how much work it is to plan your wedding, and I am here for you to have positive experience.
You get a beautiful, light, and dynamic wedding film that will bring you unforgettable memory for a long time.
